Chocolate Cheesecake Dirt Cups
Chocolate Cheesecake Dirt Cups taste like a fancy dessert but look like fun kid food. There an enjoyable spring or summertime activity for kids. Young chefs will have fun making their treat and eating it too!

  1. Set the cream cheese on the counter to get room temperature.
  2. Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat for about 1 minute. Remove from microwave and stir. Repeat heating at 20 second intervals, stirring between each until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Let cool.
  3. In a stand mixer, mix the cream cheese until it has a whipped or fluffy consistency, about 1 minute. Add the vanilla and mix to incorporate.
  4. Add the cream and mix until it has more of a whipped consistency, about 1 minute.
  5. While the mixer is on low, slowly pour in the chocolate and mix until incorporated.
  6. Pour into 6, 9 ounce clear plastic cups until about 2/3s full. Or alternately, serve into 12 smaller clear cups. I used 6 cups but it’s rich so I think 12 cups would be better, especially for younger kids.
  7. Using a food processor, blender or a baggie with a mallet, crush about 10 chocolate cookies. Top the chocolate cheesecake filling with the crumbled cookies.
  8. Add as many gummy worms as desired. I like to put at least one on top and one digging in and/or poking over the top of the cup.
