Fresh Carrot Orange Juice
Cheers the new season with a Fresh Carrot Orange Juice. A refreshing bright orange juice perfect to sip on a crisp autumn morning.
My youngest loves juice! Particularly juice with a straw. And even better if it’s in a juice box. 🙂 My silly little toddler!
He also doesn’t eat a whole lot, so my husband decided since he loves juice we should get out our juicer and start squeezing our own juice. A much healthier alternative to store bought.
Last month I shared one of my little guys favorite green juice made with the seasonal ingredient of the summer — zucchini. 🙂
Now that it’s officially fall I wanted to share an autumn inspired juice. This one is so simple, delicious and healthy. You and your kids will equally enjoy.
There’s just four ingredients:
The lime really brightens up flavor.
We made enough to fill the pitcher that came with our juicer which is about 1000 ml. But you can always make less or more. The only tip I have is to balance out the carrots with at least one apple.
Once I planned to make this juice but didn’t have any apples. My husband still enjoyed it but the kids thought the carrot flavor was too strong. So, if you want to please your little one throw in an apple too. 🙂
We really enjoy making juice as a family. My daughter just turned 8 so she can cut the fruit and veggies herself. She’s an excellent kitchen assistant. 🙂 And the boys, 5 and 3, add the ingredients. They love watching the juice come out. It’s a simple, fun activity we can do as a family that also teaches them about healthy eating habits and mixing flavors.
Who knew juicing could be so educational? 🙂
What do you enjoy to cook with your children?
