Homemade french fries are so simple to make, they’re healthier than the fried restaurant version and they taste way better than frozen ones! Plus, they’re so versatile. Potatoes are like a blank canvas ready for herbs, spices and seasoning. You could make cajun fries, Mexican seasoned fries, just salt and pepper, and many more varieties. They’re all so delicious!

However, I think my favorite potato wedge is with parmesan cheese and garlic. They’re like the perfect garlic fry. But I have to admit, I’m not a fan of traditional garlic fries. I love french fries and I love garlic, but whenever I’ve eaten garlic fries, I’m served french fries piled with raw garlic. I’m just not a fan. But when the garlic is cooked in the oven with the fries, they blend together harmoniously. It’s so tasty, you have to try it!

My family loves potatoes. This is one of our favorite, simple potato side dishes. Parmesan Garlic Potato Wedges go well with hamburgers, sandwiches, barbecue food or just as a fun snack. We had them the other night with turkey burgers. Eating burgers and potatoes reminds me of summertime barbecues — fun times spent outside with family and friends. The snow is melting and the sun is out this week, family barbecues are in my future. I love seasons, there’s something special about each one, but we’ve had so many cold, rainy and snowy days this winter I’m ready for some sun. How about you all?

Parmesan Garlic Potato Wedges
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl mix potatoes with oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
  3. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, turning at 20 minutes. Bake until cooked through and browned.
  5. Serve sprinkled with parsley, extra salt and parmesan cheese if needed.
